Detectives and Special Problems Team personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s, Parks Bureau executed a search warrant on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in the City of Whittier. The detectives were investigating a series of graffiti vandalisms that occurred at Atlantic Park, 570 South Atlantic Boulevard, Los Angeles. The park had been “tagged” with markings of a rival gang as a show of disrespect which would encourage acts of retaliation. Luis Enrique Moreno, male Hispanic, 23 years of age and resident of Whittier was placed under arrest for vandalism after the detectives found evidence linking him to the crimes at Atlantic Park. He was additionally charged with cultivation of Marijuana and subsequently booked at Pico Station in lieu of $10,000.00 bail.
