Aberdeen PD recently received a report that someone called victim from 646-583-2973 and stated that the victim must send money, via money gram, to an individual in Fla. by a certain time and date or face getting arrested because of outstanding charges. The number comes back to Brooklyn, NY and purported to be a law firm. This is another version of the all too common phone scams. If you receive this type of call, contact your local police.
