Dear Lindenwold residents,

As we all are recovering from the damage from last week’s storm, I wanted to say “thank you”. We as first responders were the first to come in contact with many of you who sustained down trees and a loss of power. Our officers responded to approximately 125 calls for service between 5:00pm on June 23 through June 25. In addition to the many calls for property damage and wires down, ambulance calls, assaults, alarms, and other routine calls for service, we also had to post officers at four intersections around town due to inoperable traffic lights.

A major storm like this one will undoubtedly cause frustration among anyone who fell victim to it. During the course of the storm and the aftermath that followed, we received countless phone calls with offers of donations of water and food for the officers on duty. Balsamo’s Pizza graciously donated food for the police officers and public works employees who all worked long hours to provide safety and security to all of our residents. We also received numerous emails thanking us for the hard work throughout those three days.

The Lindenwold Police Department is dedicated to providing quality police service and forming a strong, working relationship with our community. Thank you all very much for your patience, kind words, and thoughtful donations; it meant a lot to all of us.
