Churubusco Couple Arrested and Charged for Multiple Crimes Against a Minor Child
(Whitley County, IN)-A husband and wife from Churubusco have been arrested and charged with several counts of child molesting and child exploitation following an investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Andrew Mills.
According to Mills, on Friday, June 26, 2015, he began an investigation into an allegation that John Russell Kissinger, 34 and his wife Jessica Rose Kissinger, 19 were in possession of videos that depicted them engaging in sexual deviate conduct with a minor female as well as nude photographs of that victim. The alleged crimes took place between June of 2013 and May of 2014.
Working with Whitley County Prosecutor Matthew Rentschler, Mills applied for and was granted a search warrant for the Kissinger’s Blue Lake Road residence. Items of evidentiary value were identified and collected. Both John and Jessica Kissinger were taken into custody without incident and incarcerated in the Whitley County Jail. Both are being held on $100,000 surety bonds.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, Mills signed the following formal charges:
John Russell Kissinger
- Five Counts of Child Molesting, Class A Felony (Crimes occurred before July 1, 2014)
- Five Counts of Child Exploitation, Class C Felony (Crimes occurred before July 1, 2014)
Jessica Rose Kissinger
- Three Counts of Child Molesting, Class B Felony (Crimes occurred before July 1, 2014)
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
