On 07-02-15, officers from the Organized Crime Unit, Gang Task Force, and Crimes Against Persons Unit conducted an arrest operation in which 58 year old Jeffery Peyton and his wife, 39 year old Christina Peyton, were taken into custody for Criminal Solicitation to Commit Capital Murder. The suspects paid an undercover officer $500.00 in cash to murder the boyfriend of their daughter in a dispute over money. They were both taken into custody this afternoon in the 200 block of Carolina Street by the WFPD SWAT Team.
The case remains under investigation. The intended victim was unharmed.
