On June 28, 2015, at about 1 p.m., a male juvenile responded to the front counter of the Corona Police Department to report inappropriate sexual contact involving his adoptive father, Patrick Michael Anderson, 54 years old of Corona. Based on these allegations, Corona Police detectives conducted a consent search of Anderson’s Corona home.

After initially reviewing evidence collected during this search, detectives from the Corona Police Department arrested Anderson on July 2, 2015. Anderson was charged with oral copulation while the person is unconscious, sodomy, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and lewd acts with a child.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Anderson’s residence and seized additional items that are being searched to identify any other potential victims and/or crimes.

Detectives learned through the investigation that Anderson was a member of Common Ground Corona, a Spiritual Community located in Norco. Detectives spoke with a representative from Common Ground Corona. The representative was cooperative and allowed detectives to conduct searches of the areas Anderson had access to. There is no evidence at this time to support that Anderson used Common Ground Corona as a place to commit his alleged crimes.
Anderson is currently out of custody on bail.
