Chula Vista Library's "Read to the Rhythm" Summer Reading Program Dances Along

Stay active and join the Chula Vista Public Library's annual Summer Reading Program! This year's fun musical theme, "Read to the Rhythm," continues through Sat, July 18. The program encourages kids, teens and adults to read and stay active. Sign-ups continue online at www.chulavistalibrary.com or in your local branch.
Read for designated lengths of time, and receive a prize at each level. Family members can also read to those unable to read yet.

Following are highlights of the free events set for the remainder of the entertaining and educational program. Many events are sponsored by the Friends of the Chula Vista Library and a City of Chula Vista Performing and Visual Arts grant.

The free lunch program for kids ages 1-18 continues through this Fri, July 10, at the Civic Center and South Chula Vista library branches. Lunch, 12 - 1 p.m.; snacks, 3-3:30 p.m. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in conjunction with the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Sprouts Farmers Market is also donating healthy snacks for parents.
