Positive West Nile Virus Mosquito Sample Detected

We have received official confirmation that one mosquito sample in Grapevine has tested positive for carrying the West Nile Virus in the 2600 block of Briarwood Drive (near Fire Station #3). This area is scheduled for mosquito control ground spraying on Thursday, July 9 beginning at 10pm. The area to be sprayed is within a half mile radius of the 2600 block of Briarwood (depicted in the map below). Standing water should be eliminated promptly. Complementary mosquito "dunks" to be placed in standing water that cannot be drained are available at the Municipal Service Center, 501 Shady Brook from 7am to 4pm, Monday-Friday.
