BENTON, MISSOURI - Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said a Sikeston area woman has been arrested and charged with possession of illegal drugs.
Sadonna M. Lewis (36) Sikeston is charged with (3) counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Walter said a deputy responded to the Lewis residence Thursday night to assist the Missouri Children’s Division. While at the residence, the deputy was given reason to believe that there may be drugs inside the residence. A search conducted a short time later revealed the discovery of what appeared to be controlled substances along with drug paraphernalia.
Lewis admitted to authorities that she consumed illegal drugs earlier in the day while her two children were inside the residence.
Lewis remains incarcerated in the Scott County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
