Two Vehicle Crash in Adams County Claims Life of Geneva Man and Injures Another
(Adams County, IN)-The Indiana State Police is investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred earlier today on US 27, north of Geneva, that killed a man and injured another, both of whom are from Geneva.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Shaun Armes indicates that at approximately 11:25 a.m., 2001 Ford Mustang driven by William W. Fox, 59 of Geneva was traveling northbound on US 27, south of County Road 850 S.
Fox's vehicle traveled left of center and was struck in the passenger side by a southbound 2005 Advance concrete mixer driven by Amos A. Wickey, 37 of rural Decatur. The concrete mixer then flipped onto its side blocking both lanes of US 27.
As a result of the crash, Fox's passenger James G. Bisel, 43 of Geneva was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene by the Adams County Coroner. Fox was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and his condition is not known at this time. Wickey sustained no serious injuries.
At this time, this crash remains under investigation. Armes was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, the Adams County Sheriff Department, Adams County EMS, Adams County Coroner, Berne Police and Fire Departments and the Geneva Police Department.
