Scam Alert: A subject is calling area phone numbers claiming to be the area water department. The subject then states that you have a past due balance. The subject will try to instruct you to pay by money order at a nearby Wal-Mart. The subject has identified as the Village of Gratis in a few of the know calls. If you have concerns about your water bill please contact the Village Office. Do not send electronic money orders.
