Local Motor Carrier Inspector Receives Recognition For Years Of Service
Seymour – A local motor carrier inspector recently received recognition for her years-of-service with the Indiana State Police.
During a recent ceremony in Indianapolis, Master Motor Carrier Inspector (MCI) Mary Eglen of Seymour was recognized for 25 years-of-service with the Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.
Eglen was appointed as Motor Carrier Inspector on April 04, 1990 and assigned to duty at the Seymour weigh station. Master MCI Eglen has completed all of her twenty-five years at the facility in Seymour.
During the ceremony, Master MCI Eglen was presented with a certificate and an Indiana State Police years-of-service uniform insignia containing five gold stars. Each gold star represents five years of service, for a total of twenty-five years.
Master MCI Kimberly Judge added this regarding her co-worker: “Mary began her career with the department 25 years ago and it has been just that, a career! You will not find a more dedicated, hard-working inspector than Mary Eglen! When you mention motor carrier enforcement in the Seymour area, you think of Mary Eglen!”
Master MCI Mary Eglen summed up her twenty-five years as such: “I have enjoyed every minute of it! From helping to nab a truck driver listed on America’s Most Wanted to educating motor carriers about regulations, I have had a blast!”
Master MCI Eglen enjoys spending time with her husband and grandkids when she is not performing her job duties.
