Why: Road Improvements – Chip Seal
Background: On Tuesday, July 21, 2015 & Wednesday, July 22, 2015 the Washtenaw County Road Commission will IMPOSE LANE RESTRICTIONS on Maple Road located between Maplewood Drive and Ann-Arbor Saline Road in Pittsfield Township for the application of a chip seal surface. The road improvements are anticipated to be completed on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
Traffic will be restricted under flag control operations. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained, however, delays are likely. Motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.
To ensure the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of the construction activities, including personnel and equipment, and reduce speeds accordingly. During the placement of the hot asphalt, pedestrians and bicyclists should keep clear of the area; burns are possible from contact with hot asphalt.
