Master Motor Carrier Inspector from Grant County Celebrated 30 Year Anniversary with ISP
A Master Motor Carrier Inspector and Grant County resident recently observed a milestone in his career with the Indiana State Police as his 30 year anniversary was recognized.
Darryl J. Brane, a LaFontaine native and 1983 graduate of Southwood High School was appointed as a civilian employee to the Indiana State Police on May 6, 1985 as a Dispatcher assigned to the State Police Post in Evansville. In 1988, Brane transferred to the former Redkey Post where he continued his dispatch duties until January of 1990.
It was then that Brane was reassigned as a Motor Carrier Inspector and he continues in that capacity today, working out of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division headquartered in Indianapolis. His current assignment as a Master Motor Carrier Inspector, New Entrant Auditor has him maintaining federal compliance of motor carrier regulations amongst trucking companies throughout northeast Indiana.
