07/12/15 WTPD arrested Michael Sorrentino, age 19, of Washington NJ, for a local ordinance of entering/remaining in the park after hours. On 07/12/15 at approximately 9:01 PM, patrol was dispatched to the Pohatcong Creek Watershed Native Arboretum Park in Washington Township for the report of people in the park. Upon the officer’s arrival he located Mr. Sorrentino and a 16 year old juvenile male in the park. The officer charged Mr. Sorrentino with a local ordinance of entering/remaining in the park after hours and released him with a court date. The juvenile was turned over to his parents.
07/13/15 WTPD arrested Maurice Sterling, age 29, of Somerville NJ, for a $100.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Borough. On 07/13/15 at approximately 4:35 PM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 31 S. in Washington Borough for a non-moving motor vehicle violation. The officer’s investigation revealed that the vehicles owner, Mr. Sterling, had an outstanding warrant. Mr. Sterling was processed, issued a motor vehicle summons for an unclear license plate and released with a new court date.
07/14/15 WTPD arrested Evan Boreson, age 28, of Phillipsburg NJ, for a $303.00 outstanding warrant out of Hackettstown. Mr. Boreson was processed and released with a new court date.
07/14/15 WTPD arrested Paul Hervey, age 62, of Washington NJ for a local ordinance of maintaining a nuisance. On 07/15/15 at approximately 1:01 AM, patrol was dispatched to a disturbance in the 90 block of Springtown Rd. in Washington Township. Upon the officer’s arrival, Mr. Hervey was charged with a local ordinance for maintaining a nuisance. He was processed and released with a court date.
07/15/15 WTPD arrested Jacob Byelick, age 30, of Washington NJ for a $750.00 outstanding warrant out of Franklin Township. On 07/15/15 at approximately 2:46 PM, patrol observed Mr. Byelick, who was known to have an outstanding warrant, walking on Rte. 31 N in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Byelick, confirmed the active warrants and took him into custody without incident. He was processed and lodged n the WC Jail in lieu of bail.
07/16/15 WTPD arrested Archie Brinkely, age 47, of Port Murray NJ, for criminal sexual contact, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation involving the Warren County Prosecutor's Office and the Washington Township Police Department. Mr. Brinkely was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $150,000.00 bail.
07/16/15 WTPD arrested Andre Brody, age 21, of Camden NJ, for a $350.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Borough. He was processed and released with a new court date.
07/16/15 WTPD arrested Courtney Willis, age 22, of Washington NJ, for a $91.00 warrant out of Hackettstown NJ. On 07/16/15 at approximately 10:51 PM, patrol made contact with Ms. Willis who was skateboarding in the travel lane of W. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The officer’s investigation revealed that Ms. Willis had an outstanding warrant. She was processed and released with a new court date.
07/17/15 WTPD arrested Nicholas Firling, age 21, of Oxford NJ, for driving under the influence (DUI). On 07/17/15 at approximately 6:32 PM, officers were dispatched to a single car motor vehicle accident on Pequest Rd. in Oxford Township. The officer’s investigation resulted in the driver, Mr. Firling’s arrest for (DUI). He was processed charged with DUI, refusal to submit to a breath test, open container of an alcoholic beverage and careless driving. Mr. Firling was released with a court date. Washington Township police were assisted at the scene by the Oxford Township Fire Department and the Oxford Emergency Squad.
07/18/15 WTPD arrested Adam Fesco, age 28, of Hackettstown NJ for an outstanding $750.00 warrant out of Washington Borough. Mr. Fesco was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of bail.
07/18/15 WTPD arrested Debbie Kreps, age 50, of Washington NJ, for driving under the influence (DUI). On 07/18/15 at approximately 8:26 PM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 31 S. in Washington Borough for driving without headlights. The investigation revealed that the driver, Ms. Kreps was intoxicated. Ms. Kreps was processed and charged with operating a motor vehicle without headlights, failure to exhibit documents, open container of an alcoholic beverage and driving under the influence (DUI), her BAC was .20%. She was processed and released with a court date.
07/18/15 at approximately 1:04 PM WTPD officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of E. Washington Ave in Washington Borough, NJ for a child that had been burned. Upon the officer’s arrival, they located an approximately 1 ½ year old male who had received scalding burns on his back, legs and arm while in the tub. The child was transported by the Washington Emergency Squad and Hunterdon Paramedics to St. Luke’s Hospital (Warren Campus). The officer’s were assisted with the investigation by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office. The incident was determined to be accidental.
07/19/15 WTPD arrested Jason Magyar, age 29, of Washington NJ, for a $300.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Borough. He was processed and released with a new court date.
07/19/15 WTPD arrested Benjamin Norman, age 48, of Lake Hopatcong NJ, for a $570.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Borough. He was processed and released with a new court date.
07/20/15 WTPD arrested Charles Klemka, age 49, of Washington NJ for simple assault and harassment. He was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $35,000.00 bail.
07/20/14 WTPD arrested Scott Hughes, age 30, of Washington NJ, for burglary, theft, possession of heroin (CDS), possession of prescription legend drugs and possession of a hypodermic needle. On 07/20/15 at approximately 12:55 AM, patrol was dispatched to a suspicious person in the 70 block of W. Stewart St. in Washington Borough. Upon the officer’s arrival, contact with Mr. Hughes, who was observed exiting an unlocked vehicle and through further investigation was arrested. Mr. Hughes was processed and charged with burglary, theft, possession of heroin (CDS), possession of prescription legend drugs and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bail.
07/21/15 WTPD arrested Ryan Shoemaker, age 46, of Bangor Pa., for a $1224.00 outstanding out of Mt. Olive Township. On 07/21/15 at approximately 10:38 AM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop of Rte. 31 S. in Washington Borough for improper passing. The investigation revealed that Mr. Shoemaker had an outstanding warrant. He was processed, issued a motor vehicle summons for improper passing and turned over to Mt. Olive Township PD.
