Rochester – Recently, a narcotics investigation by members of the CLEAN Team lead to the arrests of  Brittany Rainey, 22, Gary, IN, and William Pierce, 29, Hammond, IN. The couple was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail to face felony charges for possession of an illegal drug lab and possession of methamphetamine. Rainey faces an additional felony count for conspiracy to manufacturing methamphetamine, while Pierce faces an additional count for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Monday evening, uniformed officers from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on a 2001 Ford Escape for allegedly driving left of the center line. The vehicle, driven by Pierce, was stopped on Olson Road near Adele Street in rural Rochester. Prior to the traffic stop, the couple had drawn the attention of CLEAN Team members who were in the area conducting surveillance.

During the traffic stop, officers observed numerous items and chemicals commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Further investigation also revealed a methamphetamine lab and methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
