A Board of Water Supply (BWS) paving contractor completed repaving Farrington Hwy., between Piliokahi Ave. and Nanakuli Ave., shortly before 3 AM. However, the two-west-bound lanes of Farrington Hwy. will remain closed during this morning's rush hour to allow the BWS to complete procedures to disinfect the repaired main and connect it back to the BWS's system.
Police officers on-site are helping to provide two east-bound lanes and one west-bound lane of traffic by:
-contra-flowing one of the east-bound lanes to create a west-bound lane; and
- re-directing one east-bound lane of traffic to the nearby bypass bridge.
As a result, Leeward Coast motorist are being advised to expect delays, plan ahead, and drive with caution during the morning commute today.
Meanwhile, the BWS continues to ask all residents from Honokai Hale to Waianae to please use water sparingly and for priority needs only -cooking, drinking, and personal hygiene only - until further notice
