NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2015
For the sixth consecutive year the Los Banos Police Department has partnered with Target, the Los Banos Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and the Police Volunteers group, VITAL for National Night Out. This event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and will be held on Tuesday, August 4th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rancho Dos Amigos Park, 2241 San Luis Street.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know communities are organized and fighting back.
We are again taking this event into the community and I’m really pleased with the location chosen this year. If you live in the area of Ward Road and San Luis Street, I encourage you to come out to meet members of the Los Banos Police Department, Los Banos Fire Department, and a number of other agencies we work with everyday to keep Los Banos safe. It takes all of us, united, to keep Los Banos safe, so come say hello to me and the team, enjoy your neighbors and some refreshments.”
- Gary Brizzee, Chief of Police
This event is open to the public. Police staff will be present to fingerprint children, answer questions, and serve hotdogs and refreshments to members of the public. If you have any questions, contact Police Services Manager Brenda Geary at (209) 827-7070 ext 110.
