On Wednesday (07/29/15) at approximately 11:41 a.m., Greene County Sheriff's Office Deputies were called to a home located in the Alpine Village Mobile Home Park at 7534 West US Highway 60 in southwest Greene County. Family members called 911 after a disturbance had occurred in the home and as they were leaving, they heard a gunshot. GCSO Deputies arrived at the located and attempted to make contact with anyone inside the home. Upon entering the home, GCSO Deputies located a 64-year old white female with a single gunshot wound. She was alert and conscious; she was also transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

"The investigation is still on-going," states Sheriff Jim Arnott.
