I am writing this letter to you today on behalf on the Detroit 300 Community Action Team. Our organization is a not for profit organization. We work for the people and to serve the people. We strongly believe in serving the Detroit Community as the slogan of our organization is "Taking Back Our City, One Neighborhood At A Time".
On Saturday August 1, 2015 at 3:00 pm we are going to conduct a fund raising event at the "Checker Bar" 124 Cadillac Square (Downtown Detroit)

Inasmuch as the board and volunteers of Detroit 300 and Detroit 300 community action team does not receive any sort of funding, any sort of grants, or any sort of financial support, these dedicated group of men and women have come out of their own pockets buy their own equipment pay for their own gas in their own spare time to donate time to this mission, now has come the time that we humbly request your help.

We are, with your assistance planning to continue our mission for which the organization is organized, which is to lessen the burden on governmental police departments and combat community deterioration by assisting communities and law enforcement Agencies by gathering credible information to resolve unsolved crimes** and to assist communities in organizing crime prevention alternatives. .

The Detroit 300 Community Action Team better-known as "Detroit 300" was born out of the Detroit community's frustration with perpetual neighborhood crimes that seem to focus on the our elderly, females and children.

Detroit 300 is Humble to have been honored as the only community organization at the Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day held at Greater Grace Temple these past three years on seven mile rd in Detroit, as well as being the recipient of NAACP "2011 IDA B. WELLS FREEDOM & JUSTICE AWARD"
You may make checks payable to: DETROIT 300 COMMUNITY ACTION TEAM (also cash donation are cheerfully welcome)

I hope you will attend our August 1st event and help us continue our mission.

Our motto: the people, the police and the politicians

Your's faithfully,
