Cooling Centers available due to high temperatures! Please advise anyone who is in need of a place to cool down. All are Welcome!

New Light Baptist Church, located at 89-91 Dewey St. Bloomfield will be open on an as needed basis Today, Thursday July 30 -Friday, July 31th from 12noon-5pm. Should you need a cooling center on those days, please contact Bloomfield Human Services at 973-680-4017 from 8:30am to 4:30 pm or the Bloomfield Police at 973-680-4141, who will contact the church directly to open on your behalf.

Bloomfield Recreation will open the Civic Center, 84 Broad St., Thursday July 30th through Friday July 31st from 5pm- 9pm as a cooling
center. All are welcome!

Bloomfield Recreation will be open by appointment only this weekend.
Please contact Darwin at 973 743 9074 if you need a cooling center during the following hours

Saturday August 1st from 1:30pm-7pm
Sunday August 2nd from 12:30pm-5pm

Essex County Codey Arena will be available to the public as a cooling
center. It will be open to the public Thursday, July 30 and Friday,July 31 from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1 from 7:00
a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(Skating activities will not be interrupted.)
