Marshall County - The Indiana State Police, Plymouth F.O.P. #195 and WNDU will be conducting the 15th Annual Pack-a-Backpack this Saturday at the Plymouth McDonalds located at 2010 North Michigan Street.
Mark your calendars for the August 1st event that will kick off at 7:00 a.m. and run through 10:00 a.m. ISP and FOP volunteers will be collecting school supplies such as glue, scissors, crayons and backpacks.
Cash donations will also be accepted. For a five dollar donation we can provide a backpack and for ten dollars we can fill it with enough supplies to start kids off right this year, commented Indiana State Police Trooper David Caswell.
The supplies will be given to children in need that attend school in Marshall County. Parents interested in receiving a backpack or other school supplies should contact their school counselor for an application. Applications will be available to the parents during school registration.
