National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances, while banding together to eliminate crime and drugs in their neighborhoods.

There are several block parties tonight to celebrate National Night Out in Vermillion. The block parties are at the following locations:

600 Blk of Valley View Dr.
Corner Rice Dr. and Cottage Ave.
1400 Blk of E Cherry St.
10 Blk of Cypress Dr.
800 Blk of Eastgate St.
10 Blk of S. Crawford Rd.

Feel free to stop in and visit any of the block parties! Also, don’t forget to participate in the scavenger hunt in the SW corner of Prentis Park at 7pm. Bring an adult, a digital camera, and some form of transportation. Prizes for the winning teams. Disney’s Big Hero 6 will be playing in the SW corner of Prentis Park at 9pm. Bring a chair or blanket and a non-alcoholic beverage. The movie and the popcorn are free!
