INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Stabbing
DATE/TIME: August 3, 2015 at 12:45 a.m.
LOCATION: 20350 E. Cienega Avenue, Covina, CA
VICTIM: 23-year-old female
SUSPECT: Peter William Cooley, white male, age 24, brown hair, blue eyes, approximately 5’10”, 180 lbs., has several visible tattoos, notably on his knuckles and the back of both hands, with large letters on his right forearm. He may have thick, wavy hair at this time.
Residence: Unknown. Believed to be a transient in the Covina / Glendora area.
On August 3, 2015, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 20350 E. Cienega Avenue, unincorporated Covina, in regards to a reported stabbing. The victim, a 23-year-old resident of Glendora, was skateboarding with friends on the campus of Tri Community Adult School when she was approached by a male transient on a bicycle.
The victim recognized the male as an acquaintance. After making eye contact with each other, the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife, prior to abandoning his bicycle and jumping over a fence. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in fair condition.
The suspect, identified as Peter William Cooley, remains outstanding. His place of residence is not known.
