Howell Police have received complaints about a group of aggressive door-to-door solicitors in the City of Howell.
The Howell Police Department has received several complaints about a group of young men going door-to-door selling t-shirts and asking homeowners for money. Sometimes they tell the homeowners that they're selling the shirts to help put underprivileged children through college. If the homeowner doesn't want to buy a shirt, they just ask for cash. Their behavior has been described as argumentative and aggressive.
The subjects have been seen in several neighborhoods within the City of Howell, and are described as black men in their late twenties or early thirties. They have been seen in an extended white van with a Florida plate of DGI V19.
If you see these men soliciting in your neighborhood or at your doorstep, please call the non-emergency dispatch number of 517-546-9111 and report it immediately. These subjects have been warned by the Police Department for soliciting in the City of Howell without a permit.
Thank you for your help.
