The Sleepy Eye Police Department would like the public to be aware that on 8-6-15 a brown and white Pit Bull dog was stolen from the Sleepy Eye PD pound. While conducting daily care for the dog, an officer found the caged kennel door kicked open. On 7-26-15, this Pit Bull was involved in two incidents; one in which it attacked another dog and another in which it attacked an adult male in Sleepy Eye. The Pit Bull has been deemed a Dangerous Dog by the City of Sleepy Eye per statute. The dog has exhibited dangerous tendencies towards people and other animals. While in our care, the dog has been docile and calm. The Public is asked not to approach this animal. If found, contact the Sleepy Eye Police Department right away.
