Washington County Woman Arrested on Drug Related Charges

Washington County-Yesterday afternoon, Trooper Tracy Spencer from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested Tammy Weidner, 36, from Pekin, IN. She was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued through the Washington County court system on August 4th for her arrest. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation officers were able to find out that Tammy Weidner had allegedly taken fraudulent controlled and non-controlled substance prescriptions to a Salem, IN pharmacy and had them filled.

Tammy Weidner was incarcerated at the Washington County Jail on the charges of Obtaining a Legend Drug by Fraud or Deceit, Felony; Unlawfully Acquiring a Controlled Substance, Felony; Possession of a Schedule 1, 2, 3 or 4 Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor and Possession of a Legend Drug, Felony.

This investigation is continuing.
