DeKalb County Man Arrested After Alleged Stabbing
(DeKalb County, IN)-A 34 year old man from Waterloo was arrested yesterday morning by the Indiana State Police for allegedly stabbing another man.
According to Detective Kevin Smith, on Saturday morning at approximately 9:45 a.m. two men were involved in a physical altercation at a residence in the 2000 block of County Road 59 in rural Butler.
During the fight, Timothy Scott Hopkins allegedly used a knife and cut the victim in the head, hand and torso causing non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Hopkins was arrested and incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail on one count of Battery with a Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony. The Indiana State Police was assisted by the DeKalb County Sheriff and Waterloo Police Departments.
All Suspects Are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
