Noblesville Woman Arrested on Drug and Intoxication Charges
Crawford County: A Noblesville woman was arrested Saturday night on drug and alcohol charges after being pulled over by a trooper.
Around 8:23 P.M. Saturday, Trooper Justin Mears stopped a black 2006 Chevrolet on State Road 37 near Doolittle Mills Road for speeding. While speaking with the driver, 20 year old Katelyn Rose Monko of Noblesville, Trooper Mears smelled burnt marijuana from inside the vehicle. Trooper Mears obtained consent to search Monko’s vehicle and later found drug paraphernalia and open alcohol containers. He additionally learned that Monko was smoking marijuana just prior to being pulled over, and had a preliminary breath alcohol content of 0.049%.
Monko refused to submit to any further testing and was transported to the Crawford County Jail. Once at the jail, during a search by female jail staff, it was found that Monko had a small bag of marijuana and a smoking pipe hidden in her clothing. Additionally, while inventorying Monko’s wallet, two Adderall capsules fell out. Monko did not have a prescription for that medication. Monko was lodged without further incident.
