07/17/2015- 100 Block of Fairmount St- Damaged Property- The resident reports that her car windshield had a BB size hole in it. There were no other reported similar incidents.

07/21/2015- 156 Barker Rd- Burglary- Officers responded to the location on a possible breaking and entering after a witness observed a suspect inside the business and called 911. Upon the officers arrival the suspect fled the scene with property from the business. After a short foot chase the suspect was captured and arrested – he was lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail on Burglary Charges. The case has been turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor.

07/22/15- 100 Block of Emerald Circle- Identity Theft- The victim reports that an unknown subject opened a Verizon account in his name. The case was being handled by the Verizon Company.

07/24/15- 9000 Block of Walnut- Larceny- The victim reported that sometime in the two week period and unknown subject removed his trailer hitch. There were no suspects and nothing of evidentiary value,

07/25/15- 5000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd- Larceny- St. Patrick’s Church reports that an unknown subject stole a large party tent from the property that was going to be utilized by the church. The tent is 20’ x 40’ and its worth was estimated at $2500.

07/25/15- 284 Six Mile Rd- Larceny- The victim reports losing two Zero Turn lawn mowers and a trailer. The suspects entered the yard via the highway. The case is still under investigation.

07/25/15- 9000 Block of Spencer Rd- Fraud- The victim reports that he purchased a shed from the landowner and that when he went to pick up the shed it was gone. The victim learned later that the owner of the shed had lost the property that the shed was on and that the new owner had torn it down. This case has been sent to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor.

During the second two weeks of July officers responded to 202 Calls for Service. The total calls officers responded to in the month of July was 484. The Northfield Township Police Department has made 91 arrests year to date.
