On August 9, 2015, Giles County Sheriff’s Department was contacted and requested to assist Minor Hill Police Department at Beer Gut Bar located at 18286 Minor Hill Highway. Upon arrival deputies were advised that Marty Lynn Harrison age 34 of Lexington, Alabama was deceased. The scene was turned over to the Giles County Criminal Investigation Division. During the course of the investigation it was determined that Marty Harrison was engaged in some type of domestic dispute with his wife. A third party saw the dispute and attempted to intervene. A brief altercation in sued between Mr. Harrison and the third party subject. Mr. Harrison then fell to the ground and lost consciousness. Witnesses at the scene attempted life supporting measures and were unsuccessful. Marty Harrison was sent to Forensic Medical for autopsy. Criminal investigation is ongoing.
