One Injured in Morning Crash in Jennings County
Jennings County-At approximately 9:00 AM the Indiana State Police and Jennings County Sheriff’s Department responded to a head on collision with injuries on State Road 7 near County Road 700 West in Jennings County.
Initial investigation revealed that a white 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Mark May, 44, Commiskey, Indiana was traveling northbound on State Road 7 when the vehicle crossed the center line into the path of a blue 1999 Freightliner driven by Aaron Bebout, 40, Hanover, Indiana. The vehicles collided head on at that location. May’s vehicle left the roadway and overturned. Bebout’s vehicle also left the roadway and came to a stop. May sustained multiple non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Vincent-Jennings Hospital before being transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Bebout was not injured in the collision. Traffic was slowed in the area while the crash was investigated and cleaned up. Both vehicles were badly damaged in the crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
The crash was investigated by Trp. Matthew Holley. He was assisted by Trp. Seth Davidson, the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, Jennings County EMS, 31 Wrecker, and Lucas Wrecker.
