REMINDER:

The Grand Opening of the Premium Outlet phase II will be occurring starting Thursday August 13th, 2015. Phase Two of the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore is scheduled to open to the public. As a result, the Livermore Police Department would like to remind all shoppers of issues that may arise during the opening weekend of Phase Two.

LPD expects a tremendous increase in traffic congestion to not only include the neighboring streets, but the I-580 freeway. As a result, expect both east bound and west bound directions of I-580 at El Charro Boulevard to be heavily impacted as well as Jack London Boulevard. LPD advises commuters to avoid this area in order to prevent further traffic congestion.

With regards to traffic congestion, LPD will likely not be directing traffic in the area, as we anticipate that the current traffic signals will handle the flow of traffic acceptably. During heavy traffic times, the entrance to the Outlets at “The Shoppes” will be closed forcing all traffic to enter the mall via Livermore Outlets Drive. This creates a traffic flow through the outlets in a counter clockwise rotation which eases congestion and bottlenecking of traffic.

LPD would also like to remind all shoppers to remain patient as they seek parking within designated parking areas. LPD asks that shoppers park in appropriately marked parking lots and to remain respectful of the surrounding properties not necessarily affiliated with the outlet mall. LPD reminds all shoppers that carpooling is strongly encouraged. Public transportation is also recommended as there is a WHEELS bus stop directly in front of the mall.

With regards to parking, remember to lock your vehicle and to not leave any personal belongings or valuables in plain sight.
