The 55th Annual Howell Melon Festival will take place this weekend. There will be numerous street closures for the various events:

Thursday, August 13, 2015
STREET CLOSURE:
• 5:00pm State Street (between Grand River Ave and Clinton Street) will close for the Howell Melon Festival and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.

Friday, August 14, 2015
STREET CLOSURES:
• All day/night: State Street (between Grand River and Clinton Street)
• 6:00am the 100 block of North Center and South Center Street (between Clinton and Sibley Streets) will close and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.
• 6:00am the 100 blocks of North Walnut Street and South Walnut Street (between Clinton and Sibley Streets) will close and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.
• 6:00am the City Parking Lot on the Southeast corner of Walnut and Clinton Street (Lot #4) will close, and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.

MELON RUN:
• 3:00pm Clinton Street will be closed from Michigan Avenue to Court Street, and won’t re-open until approximately 11:00pm.
• At 5:00pm the MELON RUN starts
• Numerous street closures in the NE neighborhoods, including Piety Hill, the City Park, and the Lakeside Cemetery. Map can be found at:

STREET CLOSURES:
• 5:00am Grand River Avenue (between Barnard and Chestnut Streets) will close and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.
• 5:00am North Michigan Avenue (between Sibley and Clinton Streets) will close and won’t re-open until Sunday night, August 16th at approximately 9:00pm.
