Re: Theft, Vandalism and Criminal Damage to Property
The Portage Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in helping to identify the individual or individuals responsible for numerous cases of theft, vandalism and criminal damage to property that have been occurring in the City of Portage within the last month.

Multiple reports have been taken throughout the City of vehicle windows being broken out, thefts from vehicles and general vandalism. The concentration of these occurrences suggests the west side of Portage as a frequent target area.

Specific areas include, but are not limited to;
West Burns St., West Franklin St., West Carroll St., West Pleasant St., West Conant St., West Cook St., West Edgewater St.

Chief Manthey reminds citizens to be vigilant within their respective neighborhoods by reporting all suspicious behavior and further reminds all citizens to keep all valuables left in vehicles secured and out of plain view and lock their vehicles at all times.
