Indiana State Police Arrest Oakland City Man for Child Molesting
Gibson County - Indiana State Police Detective Tobias Odom initiated a criminal investigation on July 22 after receiving information from Oakland City Police that a female had been allegedly molested by Frederick Groves, 51, of Oakland City. During the investigation, Detective Odom revealed Groves allegedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched the female, who is younger than 14-years-of age. The alleged incident occurred in July at an undisclosed location.
After reviewing Detective Odom’s investigation the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office issued a felony arrest warrant for Groves.
This morning at approximately 11:37, Troopers John Davis and Matt Jacobs arrested Groves at an Oakland City residence without incident. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
