*UPDATE* - Fatal Traffic Collision on 2/7/15, Pacific Coast Highway and Corral Canyon, Malibu #LASD

Malibu / Lost Hills Sheriff's Station traffic investigators have completed their investigation into a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Saturday, February 7, 2015.  The collision happened at about 12:00 PM, in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Corral Canyon Road, Malibu.

It is anticipated that by the end of August 2015, sheriff's traffic investigators will present the results of the investigation to the Office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney.  Included in the results of the investigation is that speed was a factor, considering the existing traffic conditions. The District Attorney's Office will determine what, if any, charges will be filed in this case, or if there will be a request for further investigation.

Traffic Services Detail investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and traffic investigators with the California Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation.
