All hands on deck, Operation Safe Gas-Up & Movies n da Park today at 6:00, across from Osborn field, click link flyer
Greetings,
Join the Detroit Police Bridging the Gap Initiative as we host our Second Annual Summer 2015 Movies in the Park.
This year we are attempting to have six fun filled family events. Our next showing is scheduled for August 21st, at Osborn High School track and field which is located rear of the beautiful Osborn High School (11600 E. Seven Mile Rd..
This event will start at 6:00 p.m. The movie(s) are Night at the Museum and Ice Age. We are giving our citizens a Ford and Wyoming Drive-In experience; two movie screens, free food and self help vendors until the movie starts.
I am reaching out to the military and all neighboring Police Departments that are in close proximity to the City of Detroit to be a part of this wonderful event. I am asking, at this time, that you consider joining the Detroit Police Department on this day by sending two uniformed officers/representatives from your department/organization, as we together bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.
As authority figures within our community, your presence is very important in making this a successful event. Having events such as this will help change the perspective of how law enforcement is viewed, while creating positive relationships between police officers and citizens. If your department/organization would like to be a part of this event, please contact me via: [email protected].
Have a Great Day!!
Respectfully,
