(DeKalb County, IN)-A 38 year old man from rural Garrett was arrested earlier today, without incident by a Detective from the Indiana State Police following an investigation into an alleged sexual battery that was said to have occurred this past June.
According to Detective Jake Quick, on June 20th of this year, Donald R. Pinkerton was alleged to have forcibly touched a 16 year old female in a sexual manner at a party and then grabbed her hand, forcing her to touch him in a similar way.
The victim reported the incident on June 24th and following an immediate investigation by Quick and the DeKalb County Sheriff Department, the case was referred to the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Pinkerton was taken to and incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail on one count of Sexual Battery, a Level 6 Felony. His bail was set at $2,000.00.
