On Monday August 31st, 2015 at approximately 10:30 PM, the police desk received a 9-1-1 call for a burglary in progress. An unknown actor/s was attempting to kick in a set of rear patio doors to the living room. The occupants of the home began yelling “We’re calling the police” and the actor/s fled the area. Entry to the residence was not gained.
The following tips may reduce your chances of becoming a victim;
 If you have an alarm system, update it, and use it.
 Second story windows should be alarmed.
 Leave interior and exterior lights on to make your home appear occupied.
 Leave a television or radio on inside your home.
 Please remove jewelry and valuables from the bedrooms.
 Remove safes from the master bedroom and their closets.
 Lock ALL doors and windows. We find many unlocked doors.
 Lock any unoccupied vehicles and remove the key fobs from them.
 Remove mail and newspapers from your driveway the day they are delivered.
 Secure any ladders on your property.
