The annual Alexandria Fair & Horse Show begins tonight with the parade at 6:45pm and will continue until Monday evening.

This is an outstanding community event, one we hope you will bring your families and friends out to.

Parade Details:

- Washington & parts of E. Main Street will close to traffic at 6:00pm.
- If you are going to be in the parade you need to be in the south lot of the Middle School no later than 6:pm.
- The north lot of the middle school is for dropping off walkers, etc. Absolutely no parking or parade access will be granted from the north lot.
- Traffic will be terrible on US27 south bound beginning around 5:15-5:30pm. If you are headed south of Alexandria, please consider taking alternate routes via AA Hwy or KY915 (Licking Pike).
- Parking illegally is not accepted anywhere near or along the parade route. If you park illegally you maybe subject to tow.

Safety:
- Please keep an eye on children along the parade route.
- Do not allow them to run into the street for candy or any other reason. Keep them away from the Horses as they are unpredictable by nature and will accidentally step on them if startled.
- The roads will open immediately after the parade clears them, so do not assume it is safe to cross the roads. Watch for vehicles attempting to get out - some might be in a hurry and they don't watch you either.

We congratulate the Fair Board on their preparations and look forward to having another safe family event. If for any reason you see something that might be suspicious in nature, please dial 911 and let us look into the matter.
