On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, investigators from the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force (GTF) Region 8 conducted an investigative traffic stop in the 500 block of N. McKinley Street, in Corona and made contact with the sole occupant, Daniel Medina, a 26-year-old of Corona. During the vehicle stop, an investigation revealed that Medina was in possession of 5.8 grams of suspected cocaine, a large sum of money and an unregistered 12 gauge shotgun in the vehicle.

A follow up search warrant was authored and granted for Medina’s residence and electronic devices. Investigators found more evidence of suspected cocaine and marijuana sales as a result of the search warrant. It was also discovered that Medina was currently out on bail for an unrelated crime. Medina was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on possession of cocaine for sales, transportation of cocaine for sales, and for committing a felony while out on bail. Further investigation is being conducted into the ownership of the shotgun.
