Traffic Stop Lands Scipio Woman in Jail on Drug Charges
Ferdinand: A traffic stop on Interstate 64 led to a Scipio, IN woman being jailed on multiple narcotics charges.
At 12:48 P.M. Wednesday, Trooper Brock Werne pulled over a truck for speeding on Interstate 64 at the 61.5 mile marker. During the course of the traffic stop, Werne and Master Trooper Brian LaRoche spoke with the passenger, Bridget A. Vaughn, 30, Scipio, IN. Troopers learned that Vaughn was illegally in possession of numerous prescription medications, including Clonazepam, Alprazolam (both Schedule IV controlled substances), and Hydrocodone, a Schedule II controlled substance. Vaughn additionally possessed several burnt marijuana cigarettes and five syringes.
Vaughn was arrested at the scene and transported to the Dubois County Security Center without incident. The driver of the vehicle was not charged.
