Community Safety Day 2015 in the Kern River Valley this Saurday(9/12) 10am-2pm.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit, partnering with the KRV Family Resource Center, The Sheriff's Activities League, and 1st District Supervisor Mick Gleason would like to encourage everyone to come enjoy Community Safety Day in the Kern River Valley on Saturday, September 12th from 10 am to 2 pm. This event is at Tank Park in Lake Isabella and is free to the public. With various vendors, public safety displays, and law enforcement demonstrations to increase positive relationships between the public and first responders, we hope to provide valuable information to families about safety and health resources available to them.
There will be free face-painting and a free hot dog lunch to the first 300 people in attendance. Prizes will be raffled off all day long, as well as many interactive displays, booths, and giveaways for kids. Tank Park is located on the corner of Lake Isabella Blvd and Elizabeth Norris Rd. and offers great shaded areas, a child's playground, horseshoe pit, and some very impressive military tanks and military memorabilia on site.
