Prevent Car Burglaries: Don't leave valuables in your car in plain view and remember to lock your car doors.
Over the past month we have been experiencing an increase in car burglaries. In almost all of the cases thieves have been targeting unlocked vehicles. Almost all of the thefts have occurred during the overnight hours on residential side streets in the Garden Lake Section as well as the neighborhoods along East Atlantic Avenue. Most of these thefts could have been prevented if vehicle owners had remembered to lock their car doors.
Please do your part to prevent car burglaries by refraining from leaving valuables in your vehicle in plain view of passing pedestrians. Also, remember to lock your vehicle even if it is parked in your driveway. Valuables such as laptop computers, smart phones, navigation devices and loose change attract the attention of thieves and make your vehicle a target for theft. Please takes these items inside your home or conceal them inside of your vehicle to lessen the chance your vehicle is broken into.
Please also remember to report suspicious activity in your neighborhood. If you have any information regarding any of the recent car burglaries please contact the Lindenwold Police Detective Bureau at 856-784-7566.
