Two More Arrests in Bunker Hill Burglary

Miami County – On August 11, 2015, a burglary investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Josh Maller and Trooper Jonathon Cole resulted in the arrest of Ann Marie Confer, 33, Peru, IN. Confer was incarcerated in the Miami County Jail to face three felony charges for burglary, residential entry, and theft.

Confer was arrested as part of an investigation into the burglary of a home at 147 East Miami County Road 800 South, rural Bunker Hill, which occurred on May 5, 2015. The investigation revealed that jewelry, cash, and a handgun were allegedly stolen from the residence. The residence is about 200 yards west of Maconaquah High School. The school has a camera surveillance system which allegedly caught the image of a blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Further investigation indicates the Chevrolet was being driven by the person who burglarized the Bunker Hill home.

During the investigation, officers recovered some of the stolen jewelry at pawn shops in Miami and Cass Counties. Investigators determined that Confer had allegedly pawned the items. Indiana state troopers made a traffic stop on a blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo being driven by Confer. She was taken into custody on an arrest warrant unrelated to the burglary. Confer was eventually served a Miami Superior Court II arrest warrant alleging three felony counts for burglary, residential entry, and theft.

As Cole and Maller continued the investigation, it was determined that Tara Rader, 37, and Stacie Addison, 28, both from Peru, IN allegedly assisted with the burglary of the residence at 147 East Miami County Road 800 South, rural Bunker Hill. Yesterday, both Addison and Rader were served Miami Circuit Court arrest warrants alleging three felony counts each for conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit residential entry, and conspiracy to commit theft. They were incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.
