Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Lindenwold Police Chief Thomas Brennan announced a Lindenwold man and his stepson have been charged in connection with a robbery turned shooting in the borough.

Antwan Bethune, 35, and Dimear Caraballo, 19, are accused of robbing a 34-year-old Lindenwold man at the Woodland Village apartment complex shortly after 1 a.m. on September 5. It is alleged Caraballo shot the victim when he refused to cooperate.

Both men are both charged with attempted murder, robbery, aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

Additionally, Bethune is charged with robbery, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm and weapons offenses for a allegedly robbing Pizza Boli’s in Lindenwold at gunpoint shortly after 10 p.m. on September 8. He is also accused of robbing a 48-year-old Lindenwold man outside of the restaurant during that incident.

Bethune and Caraballo are also persons of interest in an armed home invasion robbery that occurred at the 1000 building of the Arborwood apartment complex in Lindenwold in the early morning hours of September 6. The victims in that incident include a 64-year-old Lindenwold man and several adult females.

Caraballo was arrested by detectives late Thursday afternoon at the Arborwood apartment complex and was remanded to the Camden County Jail. Bethune was already being held at the Camden County Jail on unrelated charges.
