On Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 2:27 pm, an attempted purse snatching was reported in the 1600 Block of E. Kenmore Pl. A female resident reported she was walking westbound on Kenmore when she felt someone pull on her purse from behind. The suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining the purse and fled on foot southbound on Bartlett Ave following the attempt.

The suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 18 years of age. He is 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a red sweatshirt with a white t-shirt protruding from the bottom of the sweatshirt.

There were no injuries that resulted from this attempt.
