The Lake Lure Police Department in an effort to provide extended service to Lake Lure residents and Rutherford County, now has a pill drop box in the lobby of the police department located at 2950 Memorial Hwy, Lake Lure, NC 28746
In the past, it’s been common to put unused prescriptions and other unused over the counter medicines in the garbage or into the water system. This can be harmful to the environment as well as directly to the public.
Made possible by The United Way, the drop box is available to the community Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. For questions or more information please call the Lake Lure Police Department at 828-625-4911
Additionally, this Saturday, September 26th from 10am to 4pm, in conjunction with The United Way, the Lake Lure Police Department will be at Ingles in Lake Lure with Operation Medicine Drop.
