49-year old Rogersville man faces charges after homeowners found him sitting on their back deck, wearing only a towel; he fled the location and later burglarized a nearby barn

Shortly after midnight on Tuesday (09/22/15), Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home located in the 4800 block of South Farm Road 205 in southeastern Greene County; the homeowners called 911 after being awakened by noises and found a naked white male covered only with a towel sitting on their back deck. One of the homeowners confronted the male who fled into a nearby wooded area prior to Deputies arrival.

GCSO Deputies located an abandoned Dodge Ram pickup truck parked within close distance. After further investigation, it was determined the truck belonged to the suspect, later identified as 49-year old Rogersville resident BRADLEY D SANDERS.

GCSO Deputies spent several hours searching to locate Sanders and received a report of an unknown male wearing a towel burglarizing a barn in the 4400 block of South Farm Road 205. The male was arrested and taken into custody; GCSO Deputies confirmed this was the same suspect they were searching for from the earlier incident. Sanders was found wearing a towel and Christmas stockings on his feet.

The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney has charged Sanders with:
- one Felony count of 1st Degree Burglary
- one Misdemeanor count of 1st Degree Trespassing
- one Misdemeanor count of Stealing
- one Misdemeanor count of 2nd Degree Property Damage

Sanders is currently being held in the Greene County Jail with a bond amount of $25,000.00
